Chicken Sandwich 08.15.2026
It’s the 1st thing we did together. The mic was a little too close to Kev and needed to get moved away after this. Kev and Jeff spent a good amount of time writing and arranging this while I was figuring out how to play the midi controller and record. Todd was busy tweaking the kick pedal and taping a bed sheet to the toms. Then we finally played it through.
This was the 2nd thing we did. Just playing some good ol’ rock. Microphone placement better.
This was the 3rd thing. I was trying to capture a loop from the AKAI, when Kev decided to say this stuff. It was captured and looped together and we were dying laughing. I haven’t laughed this hard, bent over on the floor, in a long time. We let it play and just started messing around with it to see how weird it could get. This is what it’s all about. This kind of off the rails, spontaneous sonic exploration.
